Ingredients

  • 100g peas
  • 5 spring onions, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 1 cup grated yellow cheese (optional)
  • 330ml beer
  • 2 cups wholemeal flour
  • 2 potatoes, boiled
  • 1 egg, beaten (optional)
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • chopped parsley or mint
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    1. Heat 4 tbsp olive oil and sautee the peas, spring onions, onion, and carrots. Dissolve the flour into the beer, and mix until they turn into a thick batter. 

    2. Add the sauteed vegetables to the batter, the potatoes (mashed), the cheese and egg (optional), the herbs, and the salt and pepper. Mix well and make kebabs out of the mixture (add a little bit more flour if needed). 

    3. Grease a nonstick pan with the rest of the oil, put the kebabs in the pan and bake for 35 minutes at  180 ˚C, until golden brown.
