Liker Vissino (Sour Cherry Liqueur)
- 1k sour cherries
- 1k sugar
- 1l cognac, brandy or tsipouro (Greek strong distilled spirit)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5-6 cloves
Wash the sour cherries and remove their stalks. Put the cherries, the sugar, the cognac, brandy or tsipouro, the cloves and the cinnamon in a jar. Close it well and shake it.
Leave the jar for 1-1 1/2 months in a warm place or out -in the sun. (Shake it 1 or 2 times every day). Filter the content and put the liqueur in bottles that close well and store it in a dark, cool place.
