French toast with banana, honey and walnuts
- 8 slices of bread for toast
- 500 g. (17.6 oz) evaporated milk
- 3 egg yolks
- little vanilla powder
- 3 tablespoons fine sugar
- sunflower oil for frying
- 2 bananas, cut in slices
- little honey
- walnuts, broken
Beat the egg yolks with the sugar and vanilla and dilute the mixture with evaporated milk, beating until homogenized. Dip the slices of bread in this mixture on both sides.
Put the slices in a pan and fry in hot oil until they turn golden brown on both sides. Drain them on absorbent kitchen paper. Place the slices on a plate, put the banana pieces and a little honey over them, sprinkle with nuts and serve.
